Join History Cherokee for July’ s History Factory: An Evening Under the Moon. Learn all about moonshine, its history and its legacy, from Blairsville, Georgia’s Granddaddy Mimm’s Distillery. Hear stories of Jack “Mimm” McClure, namesake of Granddaddy Mimm’s Distillery and his bootleg moonshine operation in North Georgia during the Great Depression and how his grandson, Tommy Townsend, founder of Granddaddy Mimm’s is keeping family history and his grandfather’s legacy alive.

Guests will also taste various moonshines produced by Granddaddy Mimm’s and learn the stories behind the names. This is a 21 and over event.
