

Battle of Tunnel Hill Civil War Reenactment

Sep 10 and 11 – Experience living history in the era of the American Civil War. Tunnel Hill, GA, is the site of a few small skirmishes, on the route of the Great Locomotive Chase, and where General Sherman camped at the start of the Atlanta Campaign. Tour the historic 1850 railroad tunnel, Clisby Austin home, and camps of the North and South; shop the sutler tents; and witness the excitement of battle where men clash on foot and horseback, cannons fire, and the rebel yell indicates the spirit of both sides of battle.
Open 9am – 4:00pm; Battle at 1:30pm each day.
$10 adults / 12 and under free
Concessions available, parking on site. The Western & Atlantic Railroad Tunnel Museum (https://www.civilwarrailroadtunnel.com ) is also available with admission to the battle.
